AIM OF THE SCHEME
A collaboration network of artists
We aim to promote artistic creation and foster the professional development of artists who require a working space and technical and training support.
By donating the proceeds from selling one of their works, a consummate artist provides not only the necessary funds for an artist who is starting to develop an artistic project but also practical and theoretical training to boost their career.
A cyclical scheme new artists will join in future editions.
APPLICANTS / PARTICIPANTS
All artists between the ages of 18 and 36 residing on planet Earth willing to carry out a creative project in any field of the plastic arts can be considered for this grant programme.

The Coloring the World Foundation will communicate the Jury's decision on 6 January through the websites www.ctw-foundation.org and www.inkandmovement.com, as well as through the social networks of the Coloring the World Foundation, IAM and Ana Barriga.
ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE AND SELECTION CRITERIA
a) Assessment committee
The assessment committee of the applicants will include of Ana Barriga, the members of the Coloring the World Foundation Oscar Sanz and Alejandra Kreisler, and the critics and independent curators Regina Pérez and Joaquín Jesús Sánchez.
b) Selection criteria
The submitted projects will be assessed in accordance with the following criteria:
- Feasibility and execution of the project.
- Conceptual connection and its plastic resolution.
- Artistic, conceptual or technical quality.
- Originality and degree of innovation.
- Potential projection of the proposal.
- The submitted project must be unpublished.
- Projects funded by another institution will not be accepted.
The decision of the assessment committee shall be final.
To apply for the grant, the following documents must be presented:

— CV and statement
Maximum one page each
— Portfolio of artistic works made that are related to the project submitted. The works will be accompanied by technical specifications, size and date of completion.
Maximum ten pages.
— Links to online portfolio and/or social networks if available.
Maximum five links.
Written and illustrated document outlining the plan of the project to develop and details for its conceptualisation, execution and technical needs.
This document must include at least the general planning of the project, a description of the development of the activity to be carried out, the resulting work(s), the execution time and a list of collaborators, if any.
Maximum ten pages.

— Artist residency
The grant consists of 26 days of residence for the development of an artistic project.
Artist residency period: from 12 April to 7 May 2021.
In the event of force majeure, neither party shall be bound by their respective commitments. If, as a consequence of a re-outbreak of COVID-19, public health reasons, instructions or recommendations by any governmental, regional or health authorities of any administration, or similar, the agreement could not be fulfilled, its resolution will be considered as a cause of force majeure, in compliance with article 1105 of Spain’s Civil Code, unless otherwise applicable. The Coloring the World Foundation will be entitled to carry out an assessment in each case, should this occur.
Personalised training by Ink and Movement in different aspects of the development of an artistic career.
Working space in the studio of artist Ana Barriga for the development of the project. The studio is located in the Madrid Río area in the new IAM facilities.
SFinancial support of 5,000 euros for production costs, travel, per diem and accommodation.
The payment of the grant will be made in the following terms and amounts:
- 25% (€1,250) as soon as the grant decision has been taken, 6 January 2021
- 50% (€2,500) on 1 February 2021
- 25% (€1,250) after completion of the project on 11 April 2021
The economic allocation of each of the prizes awarded is subject to the provisions of Law 26/2014, of 27 November, which amends Spain’s Law 35/2006, of 28 November, on Personal Income Tax, the revised text of the Non-Resident Income Tax Law, approved by the Royal Legislative Decree 5/2004, of 5 March, and other tax regulations, as well as their corresponding regulations and implementing rules, or where applicable, the tax regulations in force in Spain at the time of awarding the prize.
The artist-in-residence must show the evolution of their project to the members of the training team and conclude it during the residency period
The artist-in-residence undertakes to collaborate with the promotion actions that the Coloring the World Foundation, IAM and Ana Barriga may carry out on their residence. In order to promote the dissemination of the winning projects, the artist whose project is awarded a prize undertakes, by accepting these rules, to sign the corresponding documents that allow this dissemination to take place.
The artist-in-residence will donate one of the artistic works resulting from the residency to the collection of the Coloring the World Foundation, thus contributing to the IAM WITH YOU grant in future editions. The donated work will be temporarily exhibited in the facilities of the Coloring the World Foundation.
Any documentation derived from the execution of the project, in public exhibitions or in all types of publications, must reflect the logo of the Coloring the World Foundation and the name of Ana Barriga.
The participants are responsible for the originality and authorship of the projects they present, and guarantee that they legitimately hold all the intellectual property rights over them and, in this sense, they guarantee the peaceful use by the Coloring The World Foundation, IAM and/or Ana Barriga and expressly exempt them from any responsibility for the damages and/or harm that directly or indirectly, the failure on their part to comply with this guarantee may cause, without prejudice to the material that they have not themselves authorised.
The authors and their collaborators (or, where appropriate, those persons who participate as legitimate holders of the rights necessary to develop the project) authorise the Coloring the World Foundation, IAM and/or Ana Barriga to carry out, in whole or in part, the use of the different elements of the project and, where appropriate, its result, (whether they be text, images, graphics or videos) exclusively for promotional and biographical purposes of the Coloring the World Foundation, IAM and/or Ana Barriga; that is, the rights for the edition in paper and digital support of brochures, catalogues or publications compiling the activities of the foundation Coloring the World, IAM and/or Ana Barriga or for promotional purposes of its activity, for which commercial exploitation is expressly excluded. This authorisation is granted for the maximum time allowed by law for a worldwide geographical scope.
Applicants' image rights
Applicants acknowledge that they may appear in images (photography, video, etc.) taken in relation to the artistic project for subsequent informational or promotional dissemination of the activity of the Coloring the World Foundation, IAM and Ana Barriga and so they authorise such use.
Likewise, they accept that their image may be used in catalogues or other documents compiling the activity of the Coloring the World Foundation, IAM and/or Ana Barriga.
All of the above with the exception and limitation of those uses or applications that could threaten their right to honour under the terms of Spain's Organic Law 1/1982, of 5 May, on Civil Protection to the Right to Honour, Personal and Family Privacy and Personal Image. Any other use made outside the above scope is expressly excluded from this authorisation.
All applicants must bear in mind that the personal data they provide will be included in a personal data file the Coloring the World Foundation is responsible for, with NIF number G02855302, address at calle Carmen Bruguera, 8 b, Madrid and e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org according to the General Data Protection Regulations (RGPD).
All applicants expressly consent to include their personal data into the aforementioned file and their processing for the purpose of carrying out the procedures aimed at their participation in the application process and, in the event that the members of the assessment committee agree to grant them financial aid, they accept their allocation and payment into the account designated for this purpose by the holder.
This consent also extends to the transfer of the data referred to the members of the assessment committee of the application process for their analysis and assessment.
The personal data provided will be kept for the entire duration of the grant, as well as for the years necessary to comply with legal obligations. The processing of personal data provided to us will be carried out in strict compliance with current regulations.
The applicant has the right to access the aforementioned data, rectify those that are inaccurate and request their cancellation or deletion when they are not necessary for the purposes they were collected for, as well as to exercise the rights of objection or portability where appropriate.

Acceptance of the rules
All applicants hereby accept these terms and conditions entirely by the mere fact of applying for this call for applications. The waiver or failure of the beneficiary to comply with the provisions of these bases will result in the automatic loss of the right to receive the outstanding amounts, without prejudice to the obligation to return the amounts received until the waiver or failure. Any abusive or fraudulent use of these Rules will result in the disqualification of the participant.
